Winter ReFit Completed

This winter we took the opportunity to completely tear the boat down and make some long-needed improvements that hopefully will pay off in our racing.  While the list is long, some of these include:

  • Updated non-skid on the deck
  • New main alternator drive system
  • New navigation system & electronics package
  • Relocate speedo & depth transducers
  • Addition of redundant systems for offshore
  • Numerous rigging changes
  • Etc, etc, etc

Unfortunately these tasks took so long and the weather in March has been so, so bad that it is looking like it will be a real stretch to have the boat ready for our first race -- the Patos Island Classic.  We have heard great things about this race and it will be a good shakedown for the boat after all these projects.
